Vestige Home Favorites, The Paint Colors at our Charming Country Colonial Project

The most common question we receive on our social media is, without a doubt, “What color is that?”

We get it! A huge amount of time goes into establishing the colors for each of our projects, especially when we are designing a whole home like our #CharmingCountyColonial project. We want the rooms to feel cohesive, yet special, with an easy flow from space to space.

All of the color sources are listed below, but first, let’s dive into a bit of the thought process behind our selections. Throughout the first floor we kept things consistent and bright with one of our favorite whites, “Chantilly Lace” by Benjamin Moore. Paired with a warm gray contrasting trim, in Sherwin William’s “Wordly Gray,” the colors feel perfectly settled in this historical home and allowed us to bring in pops of color with our furnishings and finishes. The one exception on the main level was the dining room. With a purposefully minimal design, our clients wanted the focus in the dining room to be on the amazing views down to the pond. We brought in a soft blue to help the space feel just a little bit more dramatic and created a secondary focal point with a saturated mantel in “Mediterranean Teal” by Benjamin Moore. Upstairs, each space is decidedly unique and we leaned into historical details to tie one space to the next. We had some fun with color in the bedrooms, taking advantage of how light plays into color choice.

Just as a kind reminder, we always recommend testing colors in your own home and light conditions before committing to painting a space.

Thank you for following along on this design journey!

Cheers,

Nicole and the vestige HOME team
