approach

full-service design

At Vestige Home, we offer full-service interior design in Philadelphia and beyond, including hands-on management of your unique project from the initial consultation, through procurement, and culminating in your final project installation.

Through our relationships with experienced tradespeople, we are able to ensure that each project is executed to the highest level to create a beautiful and welcoming home that you’ll love. No matter what the project or what your vision is, we’re here to help every step of the way.

PROCESS

01 CONSULTATION

We begin all client relationships with an initial consultation. This is a working meeting that informs the scope of your project, including setting the groundwork for your conceptual design development. The consultation is also an opportunity to meet with you, see the space, talk about what functionality you need, and what style and aesthetic choices you are drawn to. We also discuss what investment level you are looking to make and provide some initial feedback on site. During this meeting we’ll define the scope of work for your project and share our design process.

If the Consultation is a good fit for both parties, our team will put together a comprehensive Design Proposal that outlines the scope of the project, Design Planning estimates, estimated execution investment levels, and next steps, including signing a Letter of Agreement.

02 DIRECTION

After we receive your signed Letter of Agreement and deposit on your Design Planning Invoice, we will devise a comprehensive plan for the space that will include the development of a Moodboard and Design Statement. The Moodboard is a conceptual tool designed to communicate the overall aesthetic for your project as well as providing visuals for your reaction and feedback. We also use this time to digitally scan each of your spaces as well as gathering measurements to ensure accuracy in the Design Planning Phase.

Following the Moodboard Meeting we will schedule a Floorplanning Meeting and Creative Direction Review. At this meeting we will share floorplan options and dive deeper into the feedback we gathered at the Moodboard Meeting, ensuring that we go into Design Planning firmly grounded in your project.

03 PLANNING

With the feedback from the Moodboard and Floorplanning meetings in hand, and the measurement scans double-checked, we begin the bulk of your design planning. We are also proud to provide 3D renderings that will show you the full space with all items to scale delivering confidence that everything fits together aesthetically and spatially. We will specify materials, fixtures, furnishings, and finishes, as well as obtaining quotes from any contractors that may need to be part of the project. Our goal at the final design presentation is for you to have a functional, beautiful design plan with a clear understanding of the total cost to execute the plan.

04 MANAGEMENT, PROCUREMENT & INSTALLATION

Here is where we turn your design plan into a reality - and when our team ramps up to see your project through to the final installation. Our dedicated team manages all of the product procurement - including ordering, tracking, quality assurance, warehousing, and finally delivery coordination. Any custom work is handled with our design team, including creating detailed design drawings, and coordination of delivery.

When all of your product is received and the construction is completed, the final project installation concludes this project phase. This is when our design team steps in to place all of your furniture, hang any artwork and drapery, and finishes everything off with professional styling.

NICOLE COLE
I'm Nicole Cole, CEO and Principal Designer of Vestige Home, a Philadelphia-based interior design firm known for creating spaces that are interesting, engaging, and filled with soulful moments. Through carefully listening to client needs and honing years of management experience, I help ensure design projects run smoothly by working with my trade resources, providing detailed plans and expertise on sourcing, and keeping open lines of communication. My greatest joy is in helping clients to create homes that reflect their lives and personalities while honoring the buildings that contain them.

As a young adult I served in the Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer before leaving to pursue work in the corporate world. With my newfound freedom outside the military, I soon realized that I missed the curiosity and creativity I enjoyed as a child and decided it was time to build a creative business. I started Vestige Home to help people bring beauty and functionality to their homes. I have honed my design skills through numerous client projects, as well as extensively renovating some of my own homes including a 1925 bungalow in the historic Riverside-Avondale district in Jacksonville, Florida and a 1910 farmhouse in Norfolk, Nebraska and working on our own historic homes here in Philadelphia.

I studied interior design at Monterey Peninsula College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas. I believe in creating beauty and exercising creativity wherever possible, whether designing a room in a clients house, picking the perfect pairing of plants for the garden, or just setting the table for breakfast on a Wednesday morning.

JANE BRINKS
With a passion for visual arts, fashion, and interior design, Jane brings a diverse professional background and perspective to every project. Combining these interests with a wide technical skill set has shaped her integrative approach to creating beautiful, functional interiors.

After spending several years working in the commercial interior design industry; as a resource librarian and manufacturer's representative, Jane made the decision to build on her undergraduate experience and earn a graduate degree in Interior Architecture and Design at Drexel University. Devoting herself to a lifetime of learning, in addition to holding her LEED certification Jane is currently pursing NCIDQ accreditation.

ZACH MARTIN
Growing up in rural southern Indiana, Zach understands life through the lens of nature. He built many forts among the trees, taking extra care to arrange the junk he pulled from the barn into the most aesthetically pleasing designs. His love of art and design sent him to school at Indiana University Bloomington for an BFA degree in fine art and art history. After college, he spent time living and working in Ireland, where he helped design the Dublin Urban Outfitters store. From Ireland, he moved to Philadelphia to get his MFA in Fine Art at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Arts.  Zach and his family now live tucked into the woods in Northwest Philadelphia.

Zach's deep appreciation of art and the natural world greatly influence his designs. He uses the principles of biophilic design, a philosophy that fosters sustained interaction between people and the natural environment, every chance he gets. He understands the importance that spaces have on our everyday lives, and strives to create considered, layered, and aesthetically pleasing designs.

JORDAN GEURTS
Since she was young, Jordan has always had a passion for good design. Growing up in a small town in Idaho, she recognized how impactful a well-designed space could be.

This passion led Jordan to receive her bachelor's degree from Utah State University while studying interior design. Soon after, she pursued her interior design career in Salt Lake City. For the past 10 years Jordan had the opportunity to learn, practice, and teach the art of interior design. Jordan has worked on both residential and commercial projects as well as teaching several interior design courses at a local college. Jordan has enjoyed exploring the world of design from so many different angles.

Jordan and her husband both enjoy the exploring new places, so they decided to make the move across the county and set up fresh roots in Philadelphia. They both love the history, architecture, and culture that Philly has to offer and are very excited to make Philadelphia their new home.
